No Fridge Off-Grid Meal…

After posting the no-fridge post, I thought it would be nice to give a no-fridge recipe.

I call it Unwrapped Eggroll

Ingredients: small sweet peppers, green onions, broccoli slaw, can o’ chicken, olive oil, egg, salt, pepper, garlic to taste & hoisin sauce.

Heat about a teaspoon of olive oil in a pan.  Slice up some green onions and peppers-sauté until a little softer.

Dump in as much slaw as you want.  Sauté for 5 minutes on medium heat.

Broccoli Slaw


Add slaw

Open and drain chicken. Rinsing it is never a bad idea…nets in less sodium. 

Canned Chicken

 Toss it in the pan, stir it up and let it heat.

Add chicken to pan

Add a tablespoon of hoisin sauce and stir in.


Hoisin Sauce

Last step…push the mess into the corner of the pan and crack an egg in the pan.


Add an egg

Stir it up to a scramble.  Let it cook and then mix it in the slaw and chicken.   



Serve immediately.

Every ingredient in this recipe does not require refrigeration and has been in my cabinet for at least 3-4 days.
